OJAS, the essence of the immune system

Let’s take a closer look 👀

Many of us don’t realize just how exhausted we are. We lead these fast paced monkey-mind lifestyles where we have learned to derive our sense of self worth from our productiveness. We wait until we are very sick to admit that we are unwell, and although it may be hard for us to say, a bit more attention to self-care and prevention could have prevented our dis-ease.

We all know that if we are depleted physically, mentally, emotionally, or spiritually, we are not going to be available for loving others and following our dharma (selfless service).

The first order of business is to increase OJAS.
Ojas is the pure and subtle substance that is created after all food is digested. It is the essence of the immune system and the positive force of stability. Ojas is increased when all of the body's tissues (plasma, blood, muscle, fat, bone, nerves, reproductive fluids) are nourished and digestion is balanced. .

Signs of Healthy Ojas:

🔺You feel relaxed upon awakening and centered throughout the day
🔺You have strong digestion
🔺Your skin has a healthy glow
🔺Your tongue is free of coatings, is pink and clear
🔺You feel enthusiastic and energized
🔺You have little body odor
🔺Your mind is clear and focused

Signs of Depleted Ojas:

🔻Bad breath
🔻Coating on the tongue .
🔻You have a dull appetite
🔻Your digestion is delicate or weak
🔻You have bloating, constipation, burning, sluggish or irritable elimination
🔻Generalized pain in the body
🔻Depression, anxiety, fatigue
🔻Emotionally drained
🔻Lack of vigor in personal pursuits of happiness
