Shatavari
Shatavari, the queen to its Ashwagandha king, is rooted on her throne as a powerful aphrodisiac instilling strength, youthfulness, memory, and intelligence to those who create a relationship with her. Love and devotion have granted her the title as the “Queen of herbs” according to Ayurveda. Her name translates to “having 100 roots or husbands”, ashwagandha being the perfect match as her king. They work better together! Both of these herbs are found in my blends: Nectar Blend, Ayurvedic Matcha, and Ayurvedic Coffee.
Being sweet and cooling, shatavari is an adaptogenic phytoestrogen and is known to be a blessing to women at any stage of their lives. Men can benefit as well! Shatavari is part of the asparagus family, therefore anyone allergic to asparagus should refrain. Also, those with excess kapha or congestion please avoid. Caution if taking diuretic drugs.
